General Questions
| |
| When will my order ship? | | Most in-stock orders ship within 3 business days. Some products have specific information in the item description that details when it will ship. Products that are not currently in-stock have an estimated ship date in the product title or description. These are pre-orders (See Pre-order question below).
| | Which method of shipment should I choose? | | We always recommend UPS due to their reliability. However, the method of shipment you select should be determined by what is most important to you. If economy is your main concern, we urge you to check both shipping carriers. Many people believe that UPS shipping is always more expensive than Post Office shipping. This is simply not true. Generally, Post Office shipping is cheaper for small lightweight orders and UPS is cheaper for larger, heavier orders.
Choose UPS - If you want to be able to track your package while it is in transit, then choose one of the UPS methods of shipment. Post office options shipped to addresses in the US include a delivery confirmation number, but this only tells you when delivery occurs and does not allow for real-time tracking.
- If purchasing a last of a kind collectible or an item that is fairly expensive, then choose UPS.
- If you need an express method of shipment such as 2nd Day Air or Overnight shipping.
Choose Post Office shipping if - If you are having your order shipped to a PO Box, you must choose post office shipping since UPS will not deliver to a PO Box.
- If you are ordering a small, lightweight item. First Class and Priority Mail are ideally suited for smaller, lightweight items and will be much cheaper than UPS Ground for light packages, while UPS will be much cheaper for heavier packages.
Time in Transit 1st Class and Priority Mail estimate delivery within the U.S. to be 2-3 days from which the package shipped. While this estimate does not guarantee its delivery within 3 days, we have found it to be fairly accurate + or - a day or two except during the busiest portion of the Holiday season when post office time in transit can reach a week or more. If the most economical form of shipment is your primary concern, then enter in your zip code on the checkout page and compare the difference in price between UPS Ground and Post Office shipments. Use the UPS map below to determine the amount of time it will take for a package to arrive via UPS Ground once it has shipped from our warehouse.

For example, if your order ships on Monday and you live in Oklahoma, your order will arrive on Wednesday. If your order ships on Monday and you live in Nevada, your order will arrive the following Monday. Please note that orders do not normally ship the same day that the order is placed. Orders usually ship within 1-3 business days. If you need your order to ship sooner, then add Express Packing to your order to ensure that it ships no later than the next business day.
NOTE: For 3-Day Select, 2nd Day Air, Next Day Air, and Next Day Air Saver, UPS fees are based on dimensional weight. This means that the charge is not simply based on the weight of the package. The size of the box is now taken into consideration when calculating the shipping charge. Our system cannot determine the box size when giving you a shipping quote and we may have to adjust the rate for some shipments. Please provide an accurate phone number so that we can call you if an adjustment is necessary. Dimensional weight does not apply to Post Office shipping or UPS Ground.
| | What is a pre-order? | | A product that is available for pre-order has not yet arrived at Give Me Toys. Each product that is available for pre-order has an expected arrival date. These dates are subject to change. If you order items that are in-stock and items that are available for pre-order, we will split your order into in-stock items and pre-order items and recalculate the shipping on each order. If you are ordering in-stock and pre-order items, we recommend that you place two separate orders. One order should contain the items that are available now and the other order should contain your pre-orders.

| | What is the difference between (C7) and (C8-C9)? | | Unless otherwise noted, all of our figures are MINT, meaning that they have never been removed from the box or displayed and that they are in the same condition as when manufactured. The difference between (C7) and (C8-C9) concerns the packaging/box of the figure. C7 is considered to be standard condition, what you would expect to see in a retail store, and suitable for a gift. If you plan on removing the figure from its packaging, then we recommend that you choose the C7 condition. C8-C9 means that the packaging/box of the figure has only minor noticeable flaws, bends, or creases. We grade our figures very strictly. Generally, only collectors and individuals who do not plan on removing the figure from its box select C8-C9. C8-C9 collectibles receive additional packaging measures to insure its safe arrival.

If your order does not arrive within 30 days or your order arrives and one or more items are damaged, please contact us immediately. There is a limited time frame for filing insurance claims and you should contact us immediately after receiving damaged items or 30 days from the ship date for lost packages. Occasionally certain items may be restricted by your government and will not be available for shipment to you. These restrictions must be handled on a per case basis. If you are unsure about you local regulations, please contact your customs office or postal service for additional information
| | I am not in the United States. Will you mark my shipment as a gift so that I don't have to pay Customs Fees/VAT/Tax/Duty? Will you mark the value of the items lower than their actual value? | | Not unless your order is a gift that is paid for by one person and delivered to another person at a different address. We are required by law to fill out customs forms honestly and accurately. We mark all items that are ordered by and delivered to the same person as merchandise and we mark each item at its exact value. We will not mark the value of any item or the total value of the order less than the actual value.
You are responsible for paying any fees, taxes, duties,VAT, or other charges that are related to the importation of your items into your country. These may be levied by your local customs department, government, or by the carrier (postal service).
| | I live outside of the United States. Why have I not yet received my order? | | The in-transit times provided with your shipping quotes are pulled directly from the USPS servers. These in-transit times are estimates and are not guaranteed. Additionally, these in-transit times do not include time in customs. The estimated delivery time is the post office's time in transit and does not include delays that are caused by the local customs authorities. Depending on their workload, a parcel may be delayed in customs for several days or even a few weeks. Remember that your item has to clear customs in the US, which can take several days to several weeks and also has to clear customs in your home country which can take several days or several weeks. We do fill out the correct customs forms and include all relevant paperwork in order to expedite the customs process. Most packages arrive within 2 weeks, but it is not unusual for packages to take a month or more to arrive. If your package has not arrived within 45 days of this email, please contact us. Due to the current climate concerning Air Traffic regulations we have noticed greater delays in customs with some overseas packages arriving as late as 45-60 days. |
